Frolander Bay Beach Retreat is situated on the Sunshine Coast only 15 minutes south of Powell River. It's only minutes away from the Powell River Canoe Route and the 180 Kilometer Sunshine Coast Hiking Trail. Or if you like Golf, Myrtle Point Golf Course is only 10 minutes away. From Powell River BC ferries sails to Texada Island where you will find the Cabin on Texada Island perched just above the shoreline in Gillies Bay. Or you can take BC Ferries to Earl's Cove and head towards Vancouver or the ferry to Comox on Vancouver Island. Historic Lund is about 40 minute drive where you can explore the Okeover Inlet and feast at one of Powell River's favorite restaurants, the Laughing Oyster restaurant. Or take a water taxi to Savary Island, known as the Hawaii of the north. Lund is also the gateway to Desolation Sound and a marine park so there's a hub of activity to enjoy there. The area offers art and music festivals and is a popular route for tourists to travel while on the circle tour of the Sunshine Coast and Vancouver Island. Many people are trying to escape city living and are finding their way up to Powell River where they enjoy a peaceful more relaxing lifestyle.
